Dear Brothers and Sisters,

balogun1My name is Idowu Balogun, your National Representative-at-Large in Washington D.C. and a proud member of Leadership 2010. I serve as the all Crafts Coordinator of our 21 Bulk Mail Centers across the USA.  I am also responsible for periodic updating of the e Library CDs and the Maintenance Staffing Program, which schedules  Staffing Advocates across the country on a monthly basis. Maintenance Craft rolled out Webinar sessions and Ms 47 Tool this year alone. We are very proud of the progressive steps that we are taking under the Leadership of Maintenance Director Steve Raymer.  I encourage you to support all members of the Leadership Team 2010. Cliff Guffey has selected culturally diverse and dedicated Resident Officers and Regional Coordinators.

Cliff Guffey for President:
As the current Executive Vice President for the APWU for nine years and former local President of the Oklahoma local, Mr. Guffey has been a team player and served us well for many years. He brings 25 years of experience of working at the headquarter level. He has a history with the Postal Service HQ that will help during negotiations. He is primed and ready to lead us in our struggles as the President of American Postal Workers Union.

Greg Bell for Executive Vice President:
He was President of the Philadelphia local before coming to D.C. and Chairman of the President’s conference for four years. Greg has served APWU headquarter for 15 yrs. as our Industrial Relations Director with his no-nonsense style, quiet demeanor and studious approach. Mr. Bell is the best candidate for the office of Executive Vice President.

Bill Kaczor for Health Plan Director: Our current Health Plan Director for 25 years, Mr. Kaczor has taken the Health Plan membership to new heights with an increase in membership and a creative approach to Health Management. These approaches are and not limited to Free preventive Dental Benefits, and zero co-payments for those who participate in an Health management Program. Mr. Kaczor continues to work to provide us with a first class health insurance that is second to none. I am proud to be a part of APWU Health plan under his leadership.

Rob Strunk for Clerk Division Director: He was successful as the President of Phoenix Metro Area local for many years. He believes that knowledge is power to be shared. Rob was instrumental in creating CDs for training the Clerks Craft at all levels. Rob served APWU very well for many years as Assistant Director. I am confident that he will make an Excellent Clerk Craft Director.

Bob Pritchard & Mike Foster for MVS Director and Assistant Director: I am asking for you to support the Motor Vehicle Team in D.C. with Robert Pritchard as Director and Mike Foster as Assistant Director.  They have both served the Motor Vehicle Craft faithfully upon arriving in D.C. making tough and necessary decisions every step of the way. They have traveled near and far to town hall meetings, Seminars, conventions and listened to the concerns of the membership, Locals and Business Agents.  Let us keep the team of Robert Pritchard and Mike Foster together. Thank you for your consideration.

Martha Shunn-King for Director of Organization: She will make an excellent Organization Director as she was a former local President of Florida State and a local President for many years.  Martha has been instrumental in organization and increasing membership in the APWU in Florida area thus will serve APWU well in continuing this effort on a National level.

Princella Vogel for Southern Region Coordinator: She is currently the President of one of the top three largest locals-Houston Area local. She has a no-nonsense approach and seeks all educational sources to offer seminars to her local officers and stewards whenever available. Princella will serve us well as the next Southern Region Coordinator.

Leadership Team 2010 members are proven Leaders of American Postal Workers Union and I ask for your support of the entire Slate. Thank you !
