Thank You
It is with great pride and a sense of humility that I thank you for your overwhelming support in my election to my first full term as the Regional Coordinator for the Northeast Region. I have had the high privilege of serving the American Postal Workers Union since first becoming active in 1970. My focus as a union officer has always been to protect the rights and benefits of our members, to help grow the union, and to enforce our Collective Bargaining Agreement. These same principles will continue to be my focus and my guide as the Regional Coordinator. You have my solemn pledge that I shall continue to do my very best and to continue my work ethic of hard work and diligence on behalf of our members in the Northeast Region. It is my privilege to serve the membership as the Regional Coordinator and as a member of the National Executive Board.
Support The Leadership Team 2010
The many challenges that confront our members, our union, and the postal industry today are complex, difficult to solve, and cannot be confronted without a collective effort. To protect and improve the rights and benefits of our members, to enforce our collective bargaining agreement, to continue to improve the standard of living of our members, and to save our postal industry will all demand first class leadership, hard work, experience, and most importantly... teamwork. That is why I ask every member of the APWU to cast their ballot in the upcoming national union elections and VOTE THE LEADERSHIP TEAM 2010. These dedicated union leaders have the required skills, the necessary talents, and most importantly these leaders have the "hands on" experience to confront the complex challenges our union and our industry will face today and into the future. I have been privileged to serve the APWU since I first became active six months after the 1970 Great Postal Strike. I served the union in many capacities over the last 40 years and served as a local president for the last 29 years. During these 40 years of postal union involvement I have worked collectively with all of the members of the LEADERSHIP TEAM 2010. I speak from first hand experience and I assure you that these leaders process the skills, the dedication, and the tenacity to lead our great union forward.
