Thank you for electing me without opposition to serve you as Assistant Director “B” of the Clerk Division. For the last fifteen (15) years I have been privileged to serve the Minneapolis Region (Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota and South Dakota) as your Clerk Craft National Business Agent. As I move up to these new challenges I pledge to continue the same hard work, enthusiasm, dedication and energy in serving the membership, and most particularly, the Clerk Craft. I have enjoyed meeting so many of you at conventions and seminars over the years and look forward to meeting many more of you as your Assistant Clerk Craft Director “B”.
I am pleased to be a member of the Leadership Team 2010 and whole heartedly support the entire slate of candidates. I personally know and have worked with each one of these individuals over the years and know they each truly have the membership’s best interest at heart and can continue to provide the type of leadership that our great Union needs during this trying time.
Rob Strunk as Clerk Craft Director
I have worked for three (3) Clerk Craft Directors as a National Business Agent – Bob Tunstall, Cliff Guffey, and Jim McCarthy. Each has, in his own way, made the Clerk Craft much better (and stronger) during their tenure and to each I owe no small debt of gratitude. I know that Rob Strunk will continue that tradition. Rob is the right candidate at the right time. He has served the Clerk Craft faithfully, with integrity, honesty and ability as Assistant Director and we need Rob’s leadership now more than ever. Rob has proven himself, again and again, both as a local leader and as a National Officer. Please elect Rob Strunk as Clerk Craft Director.
Cliff Guffey as President
I first met Cliff Guffey while he was still a local President in Oklahoma City, OK. I have worked with Cliff while he served you as an Assistant Clerk Craft Director, Clerk Craft Director and (for the last nine years) as your Executive Vice President. Cliff has proven himself to be both innovative and persistent. Cliff understands what has worked and what has failed in the past and is best positioned to lead us forward into the future. As we enter another round of negotiations in 2010, I am proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with Cliff and the other members of the Leadership Team. Please elect Cliff Guffey as President of the American Postal Workers Union.
Greg Bell as Executive Vice President
After having served the American Postal Workers Union well as Industrial Relations Director for the past 15 years, Greg Bell is uniquely qualified to assume the new role as Executive Vice President of our Union. No one fights harder for postal workers than Greg Bell. Greg has been there for all of us again and again. We need his leadership. Please elect Greg Bell as Executive Vice President.
Bill Kaczor as Director of the APWU Health Plan
I have known Bill Kaczor for many years. Under his leadership the APWU Health plan has thrived and, especially with the 95% Consumer Driven Option, provides the APWU membership with a health benefit second to none, anywhere. I am proud to be an APWU Health Plan member and equally pleased to ask you to vote for Bill Kaczor, for another term as YOUR Health Plan Director.
Martha Shunn-King for Director of Organization

Princella Vogel has capably led one of the nation’s largest locals (Houston, TX) for a number of years. She is a proven leader with the administrative skills to serve the Southern Region capably. Please support Princella Vogel for Southern Region Coordinator.
Motor Vehicle Division
As a Clerk Division officer I have had the opportunity to work closely with Craft Director Bob Pritchard and Assistant Director Mike Foster on many occasions. I know, first hand, just how tirelessly they have worked for the betterment of their Craft. Please support Bob Pritchard for MVS Director and Mike Foster MVS Assistant Director.
I offer my sincere congratulations to the other members of the Leadership Team 2010 who you have already elected without opposition – Elizabeth Powell as Secretary Treasurer, Mike Morris as Industrial Relations Director, Myke Reid and Steve Albanese in the Legislative and Political Department, Joyce Robinson as Director of Research and Education, Sue Carney as Director of Human Relations, Judy Beard as Retiree Director, Pat Williams and Lamont Brooks as Assistant Directors in the Clerk Craft, Steve Raymer, Gary Kloepfer, Greg See and Idowu Balogun in the Maintenance Division, Bill Manley in Support Services, and Regional Coordinators Sharyn Stone, Omar Gonzalez, Mike Gallagher and John Dirzius. These dedicated unionists will serve the American Postal Workers Union well.
